EMMA Creative Center Pforzheim
The EMMA Creative Center Pforzheim, situated beautifully at the river Enz, is homebase and central hub for a lot of designers from the Pforzheim and Northern Black Forest area. Students, new businesses and agencies can rent labs, co-working-spaces, offices or studios in the former public bath. Among the tenants are currently jewellery, fashion, and graphic designers, as well as movie makers, photographers, web developers and artists.
The ground floor and several conference rooms offer plenty of room for exhibitions, conferences and workshops. With regular events like the „Creative After Work“ sessions, the design market „Schöne Bescherung“ or the summer festival, EMMA turns out to be a place where people meet and ideas are exchanged – not only for the creative industries, but also for students, companies and local citizens.
DesignPF students use EMMA to display their projects during the biannual 'Werkschau' exhibition and during intense working phases such as their final thesis projects – the affordable working spaces which are less than a five minute walk away from the School of Design are very much appreciated.
