Cooperations: Semester projects
We regularly cooperate with well-known companies (e.g. Adidas, Porsche, Melitta, Audi, Blanko). We deal with a wide variety of topics and work on very different projects: From the redesign of a product to concept developments for product applications and innovative ideas for a product range. Time and again, students are given exciting tasks from the real world of work, which they work on as teams or on their own.
Cooperations: Impromptu projects
At the beginning of the semester, the Industrial Design program traditionally holds an impromptu project. The project always takes place in cooperation with a company that comes to the School of Design for a few days and works together with the students on a specific issue. Topics from different design categories are dealt with. From new game concepts (Schleich) to agricultural equipment (Claas) to alternative urban vehicles (Kiska), the impromptu project always surprises with new, interesting topics. Adidas, Lego, Designaffairs, Phoenix Design, Porsche, Kiska, Metabo, Teams Design and many more have also visited the event.
The aim for the students is to develop and present a concept in a short space of time. The collaboration between different semesters is particularly exciting. Each group has representatives from the 1st-6th semester of Industrial Design and is accompanied by a Master's student in Creative Direction.
