Professional career

1985 – 1993
Studied graphic design and free painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart under Prof. Herwig Schubert and Prof. Erich Mansen; guest studies under Prof. Max Bense at the University of Stuttgart.

1993 Founds the kunstlauf group.

1993 – 1997
Guest studies in art science and media philosophy at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design under Prof. Boris Groys.

2005 Research Program Grizedale Arts, Lake District, England.

2006 Employee for Germany and Europe at Grizedale Arts.

2008 Founding of the publishing house Brigade Commerz - Audio Arts Archives.

2008 – 2009 Lecturer at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in the Department of Art Studies and Media Philosophy;
Lecturer at the University of Tübingen, seminar “Art and Sport”.

2009 – 2011 Substitute professor at Furtwangen University in the Department of Digital Media.

2011 – 2012 Lectureship at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, Department of Art Studies and Media Philosophy;
Lectureship at the Stuttgart Media University, Department of Electronic Media.

2012 – 2015 Lectureship in cultural and design theory at Pforzheim University in the Department of Design.

2015 Doctorate (Dr. phil.) in the Department of Art Studies and Media Philosophy at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.

Since 2015 research assistant in the School of Design at Pforzheim University.
