In which language are classes taught at the School of Design?
All classes in the Bachelor’s programs, as well as the MACD and MADFM program are taught in German; only the classes in the MA in Transportation Design and the MA in Jewellery programs are primarily taught in English.
The following applies to the programs which are taught in German: Applicants who have not earned a German school-leaving certificate must present, along with their application, a proof of their knowledge of the German language. Precise information about which proofs of language proficiency are accepted by our university can be found on the page of the International Office.
Lectures in the MA in Transportation Design and the MA in Jewellery are held in English, therefore applicants need to present one of the accepted proofs of language proficiency in English. Precise information about which proofs of language proficiency are accepted by our university in general can be found here.
